Our scalp has the most elaborate network of blood vessels
and needs higher blood supply compared to other parts of our body. At the base
of each hair, there is the hair follicle – a group of epidermal cells
responsible for that hair’s growth. The whole life of a hair depends on the
condition of its follicle, which in turn is largely determined by the level of
blood circulation. If blood supply is impaired for some reason, shed hairs
aren’t replaced by new ones.
In majority of the cases, air first starts getting sparse
in that area, which is an indication that poor blood supply is the main cause
of balding. Almost all men who start balding makes the same mistake – they
avoid touching their scalp because they think it would cause additional hair
shedding. When combing and brushing, they are careful not to pull their hair or
rub the skin. However, rubbing and massaging are the best ways to improve blood
circulation in any part of the body.
We should follow the example of our women in this regard
– they adjust, pull, comb, brush, and re-arrange their hair countless times
every day, trying to look their best. Such behavior is really helpful in
promoting good blood supply to the scalp. On top of that, thanks to estrogen
present in their bodies, females are much less likely to suffer from
circulation disorder.
